 Redbud in Bloom

The Redbud is a small, native tree with spectacular spring blossoms. Rosy pink flowers appear in April. Reddish-purple spring leaves change to dark green, then to yellow in fall. The seeds provide winter food for birds. It is an excellent tree for planting near utility lines due to its short stature, and will provide good shade when planted near patios. The tree forms a spreading, graceful crown. Prefers full sun or can use partial shade in windy, dry areas
